    Roped Butterfly

interestingly when i went to see if there was someway to put them together… the top and bottom wings fit together naturally…

other than knotting the butterflies together no manipulations where made to the width or length to achieve this pattern

So i took this super cool printmaking class where i took this pattern and embossed it… i’m trying to find a home press, actually i’d love to make one but i can’t seem to find anyone who’s written about doing it… if someone happens to come upon this post and knows of a DIY printing/embossing/papermaking press could you post a comment. here’s what the butterfly looks like…

    this is the backside

    this is the frontside

Hi - I really like that - It’s amazing how differently it reads as embossed vs. pattern vs. design. Did you know about spoonflower? It’s a new company for putting your own patterns onto fabric. I think this pattern would look really neat. You should try it! :)
(no I am not affiliated, I just think it’s neat)
